How it began

It all began in 1992 with the establishment of sewing courses for young woman in the village of Barão de Grajaú, home of Iva Engels - Carvalho. When she met the Brazilian Honorary Consul Klaus Pavel and his wife Gudrun, they jointly developed the idea of the project "A sewing machine for the home" was. The woman can borrow the sewing machine from the Fundação. So they are able to earn their livelihood.

Locally Ivas family controls the project. Meanwhile, we have over 30 Activities. Everyday about 1,000 children and adolescents benefit from it.

The idea of the Fundação it is as soon as possible to bring children and young people from the street and offer them a regulated daily routine. In addition many projects have been launched. Thus, the families are supported.
